That's an article written in 1968 about my Pap. He was 22 years old at the time and had saved a 12-year-old boy from drowning. Pretty sweet. That's him and my cute Grandma.
"Be it known to all men that John Rice has been responsible for saving a human life while performing his duties on a construction job site. Through quick thinking and ingenuity, Joseph Scott Jr., who was in danger of drowning, was preserved June 14, 1968 at Crafton, Pa."
